Second time with Explorer Fleet (Carribean Explorer in 2004). As alwais a great operation. Diving at West Caicos was pretty good with lots of tropicals, some gray reef sharks, nurse sharks and lots of large grouppers. All night dives had lobsters, crabs, octopus and some sharks. One siting of manta was very exciting, it was dancing in the shallow while we were watching from bellow. Franch Kay's diving more of the same with gray sharks and lots of spotted murrays. At West Sand Spit visibility was not the greatest but abbandonce of oceanic and queen trigger fishes and Atlantic Spade fish. Very healthy corral. Divemasters Angelie, Mike and Nath were great, very patient and helpfull. Once I spend the whole dive with Nath hunting for the pipehorse untill finally found one. Food was good and plentiful. Eggs, pancakes e.t.c. for breakfast, snaks between dives, good veriety for lunch and dinner. All dietary restrictions were granted ( with two vegetarians, two non-pork eating jews, and two divers allergic to everything) I was impressed. Video of the trip was available and professionally done by Jenny. Ian was a great captain with his mildly dry british sence of humor. Reservations for the trip were done fast and painless, assistance with air to and from T&C provided Averall this is a great operation. I will be diving with them again. |
