Great livaboard and crew. Spirit of Solomon is 125' long and had plenty of
space. Our room was double bed with bathroom and AC. Large upper deck
covered for dining and bar. Upper deck had sun tanning location also.
Food was good and beer was cold. Dive area was large, had tables for
cameras, baskets for each diver. Fresh water shower and clean dunk tanks
for gear. Crew was very helpful in all aspects. Took care of your gear
from initial set up to final cleaning. Tanks 3000 psi +.
We ran into a storm the first night and most of the trip was cloudy but mid
to upper 80's. Some rain but nothing slowed the diving. Trip included
Russell Islands, Guadal Canal, Florida Islands. Saw plenty of white tip,
black tip and grey sharks. One Manta joined us on safety stop. Plenty of
hard and soft corals and tropical fish. Nitros available, 32%. Did 4-5
dives per day. Could follow your own profile and computer. All dives are
drift dives. Current was nothing to 2 knots. Used the reef hook on some
points watching sea life in current hoping for more Mantas. Could follow
crew or go on your own. Tinnies would pick you up when ready. Would
recommend Spirit of Solomon.
