Comments I found on my second stay on this boat that everything is pretty much the same as it was w/ my first trip 9 years ago. However, the personnel are new except Hector is still the engineer/divemaster and Ernan is still a divemaster. The diving is exciting w/ plenty of everything to see and the Blue Corner shark and jack traffic is still heavy w/ plenty of current requiring reef hooks. I would recommend that beginning divers get at least 50-100 dives under their belts w/ some current exposure before coming to Palau. The only disappointment was no shows by the Mantas in two trips to German Channel.
The divemasters are quite helpful w/ everything w/ my only complaint being that they sometimes have divers swimming way too long against currents, I guess because they hope it will reverse or back off. I felt one dive was so screwed-up w/ contrary currents that it should have been aborted.
More activities after diving have been added, eg: a week-long trivia contest w/ a nice prize for the winner.
Overall, this site and live-aboard are the cure for mundane Caribbean diving!
