Comments This was our second trip to Palau - the first time was May 2012 on the Palau Aggressor and this trip was one year later, May 2013 on the Aggressor's sister boat the Tropic Dancer. Both times the diving was fantastic.

We would definitely book with the Aggressor fleet again - Picking the Palau Aggressor as first choice. We liked the setup on the Palau Aggressor dive deck and skiff better. The food was excellent on the Palau Aggressor where on the Tropic Dancer it was only good.

I would recommend arriving one day early. We did so the first time but decided not to on the second trip and ended up missing one day of diving due to an airline delay. The Aggressor handled our airline delay beautifully and quickly by making arrangements to pick us up at the airport when we arrived 24 hours late and had the skiff come to pick us up that evening so we did not miss another half day of diving. Helping to elevate our disappointment with the airline delay and did not make any other divers on the trip miss any of the diving.

Live-a-board diving is the best way to dive Palau in our opinion. No back and forth day trips and repeated dive sites because the rest of the group has not been there yet. Five dives a day are available if you choose to do so on both Aggressor boats in Palau. Also both Aggressor boats offer three local brewed beers on tap(remember though once you start drinking no more diving). Staff on both boats were excellent and we were taken good care of!

We stayed at the West Plaza Downtown Hotel in a day room since the flight home was at 2am. Nice and clean budget hotel and provided transport to the airport. We would use them again.
