Very enjoyable diving to the Sangihe Islands, including the underwater
volcano and several hot springs, and a few dives, during the return, in
Lembeh. The dive term and set up on board was informed, high energy, and
well organized. The cook did an outstanding job, inclusive of accomodating
special requests. The trajectory through the islands is very interesting,
underwater, in particular, but also, on land. The Symphony, the smaller of
the Murex boats, is fine topside--a long table for meals, viewing photos,
and conversation, and some deck chairs. The cabins could benefit from
better air circulation, though air conditioning is not needed, just more
movement of air overall. I understand that the plumbing problem in one
cabin was repaired when the boat returned. Nonetheless, the cabins are
clean, sufficient, and well looked after each day. A plus for the Symphony
is that 4 divers were able to dive for a week without having to pay
exhorbitant sums. And, most importantly, the dive crew is very familiar
with the area, benefitting from Murex's years of experience.
