Comments We were promised a meet and welcome at the Sorong Airport. No one showed and trying to then make arrangements to gather our things and get to the hotel for overnight was a major problem. The trip to the resort is long and can be rough depending on sea conditions. And the charge for the boat transfer is an added charge. The diving is good but our guide was far from excellent. We did Raja4Divers last year and the dive guides were all tops. And some of the guides at Misool were good as well but we did not have a good experience. The resort is expensive and given the remote location I can understand the difficulty of maintaining a great resort at such a distance from a major city. But the price seemed high for the experience and the diving is really no better than what is available in the north of Raja Ampat for a shorter boat ride and a less steep price. We would return to many of the spots we have visited in Indonesia in the past - we would not return to Misool.
