Overall Rating

Fantasy Island is a well maintained hotel with simple, but clean and
adequate rooms, with working phones and television.  The check in and out
is simple and quick, and concierge services for side trips are very good. 
The hotel has nighttime entertainment several nights a week (flame dancing,
native songs, etc.)  The beach is beautiful and spacious, with a nice
swimmable lagoon.  Food service was very good, with variety, local foods,
and good hours of operation.  The grounds are  very well kept, with
mischievous monkeys, peacocks, snd watuzas wandering around for your
entertainment.
The dive operation is excellent. The boats are roomy, well designed, O2
equipped, and most of the dive sites are 10 to 30 minutes away.  The safety
briefings are clear and to the point, and you can dive your own profile if
you want.  Nitrox is available.  Our divemaster was very good at pointing
out critters we would have missed without his knowledge of the area.  Night
diving was good but not spectacular.  Shore diving is very good, with a
couple of entertaining house wrecks, and a very respectable house reef. We
would return in a heartbeat.
