Comments No one told us the owner, Steve, was ill and not in residence for an extended period of time. I think that has had a profound effect on the maintenance of the resort and the organization of the dive operation. We spent a lot of time geared up driving to the town dock for tank exchange, fueling, etc.

Mrs. Fox is working very hard to provide for all the guest needs and was hospitable to the nth degree. What a lovely lady! But she cannot do it all by herself. Her dive instructors help out a lot, but no one seems to be "in charge." Visiting whale shark expert talks were interesting. Food was beautifully presented, but repetitive. The rooms are nicely situated; but, ours was not well maintained or cleaned very well. The dive boat had broken wood parts and metal snags you had to watch for.

The dive masters and instructors did their best to give us a good time in the water and they tried hard to find as many whale sharks as possible. The boat captain took us to unmarked offshore mounts and found whale sharks. The life in the ocean, particularly fish, is getting pretty scarce compared to my visit in 2011. This could be a seasonal issue or just that we did not get much time on the deeper walls.
