Separate rinse bucket, but it was the only one on the boat, so if you wanted to rinse something else, guess what you had to use? |

Meeting time was 7:30. Pretty early for vacation (why do they all seem to meet so darn EARLY?). Schlepped our gear from the car to the shop, and then from the shop to the van, then from the van to the boat. No assistance was offered. Divemaster had apparently injured his leg the day prior boogeyboarding and was limping badly. He also appeared to be hung over. My dive bucket was propped in the back of the van, on top of the tanks - I asked about that and was told it would be "fine." Of course, as soon as someone opened the back door at the dock, all my dive gear went flying. And none of the staff helped pick it up. Staff did not assist with gear set up, or changing tanks between dives (they did the latter when I asked them to, but most had already done their own - I was the last one out of the water). The boat was large (48 feet?) and easily accommodated the six divers and three staff (Captain & 2 DMs) w/o crowding at all. Dives were nice enough, saw quite a few large sea turtles, but overall I could have skipped it. Service from the dive staff was non-existent. We cancelled dives with them for following days that we had scheduled previously. I would not dive with them again. |
