Comments We arrived not that long after Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston which devastated large parts of the Fiji and a number of the normal dives the boat operates in. As my wife and I have been diving in Fiji for over 20 years we had opted on previous visits to explore the Kadavu (south area) of Fiji rather than the normally dived Northern areas. We found our usual dive sites in pristine condition with soft and hard corals and plentiful fish life. We were able to do some more exploring and found a number of 'new' sites with fabulous soft corals. The crew onboard - Capt Joji, Engineer Vince, Chef Peni, Divemaster Moses, and Steward Eddie are very attentive and friendly. First rate service all around. Highly recommend that you try this itinerary even if you have been to Fiji many times before. We look forward to our next trip!

I'm just back from 7 nights on the Aggressor diving Kadavu Island and had a very different experience. I would describe the area as an underwater desert. Our dive master would say "lets so slow and look for the small stuff" and indeed finding a nudibranch was a major achievement. Sure some nice hard corals and a few small reef fish but nothing you cannot find on a $20 shore dive from dozens of island dive resorts in S.E. Asia. And the double whammy is that the Soft Coral Capital of the World which Aggressor tell us was destroyed in Cyclone Winston is very much alive and well. Other liveaboards like Siren still operate there as do day dive operations from Wananavu and Volivoli Beach Resorts
