Comments Our 4th trip to Bonaire. There was a good deal for Capt Don's so we stayed there for the first time. Room deco was a bit tired. Hotel staff very friendly & accommodating better than anywhere else we stayed in Bonaire. Lunch choices were good, dinner not so good but we ate out for dinner so it didn't nmatter. The dive shop was past its sell by date. The shop manager was very off hand and gave the impression we were interrupting her cigarette breaks, everything was a chore for her to do. The dive locker setup was poor, many broken lockers and if you did not get a top row locker it was better to lug your gear back to the room to dry out. Nowhere to hang wet suits to dry. One worn counter to put things on, on rickety bench to sit on to get your tank on if you were doing a shore dive. The resort was full while we were there and overall the dive staff did a good job, however one of the dive masters (a South African) loudly told off a party of 4 Brits for being late (5 minutes and what's that in the Caribbean!) pretty bad as one of the party was a paraplegic. To get tanks for a shore dive was made difficult as the shop pick up was parked in the way, blocking easy drive ups access to get tanks. next time we'll stay at Buddy's and have lunch at Don's but they need to buck up their ideas.
