Comments This was my third and last visit to Buddy Dive Resort.Although the 2 bed room apt was recently renovated the toilets did not flush properly and needed 2 maintenance repair visits. I had to kill at least 3 large cockroaches in the apartment and the building grounds was swarming with these creatures every night.
In one of the dives during a Dive briefing I try to get a cup of water and was rudely admonish by the dive instructor , a military "want to be" by the name of JOB, to sit down imediately . As I returned to the resort,to my surprise,I was called in to the office of the Dive manager (Augusto)and told that I was displaying a disruptive behavior and I may have my diving privileges suspended. This whole incident is reminiscent of a scene during a flight from the movie "Anger Management" with Jack Nicholson. I protested this event with the manager the resort (Michele)with no results. I am a 62 years old Physician with 490 logged dives and have never reprimanded during a diving vacation. There are excellent Dive instructors at this resort such as Franchesca, Irene, Martin, Scott and Murphy to mention a few . However the military and inappropriate style of the one I mentioned above and the treats form the dive manager took away my fondness for the resort.I will never return. I would suggest the readers to consider Harbor Village, the Plaza or Habitat. I also recommend highly the Paris Bistro for Dinner.
