The resort and diving staff at Turneffe Island Lodge were fantastic. The
accommodations were clean and very nice. The dive operators were
knowledgable, well-trained, and courteous. The food was wonderful also.

This diving was excellent. The visibility is probably normally better than
we experienced because it was particularly windy the week we were there.
We did see schools of hammerheads, lots of turtles and rays. Lots of green
and spotted morays. The smaller fish life is spectacular also. We saw
blennies, drumfish, cowfish, dogfish, etc.

Now for the negative. TACA is, by far, the worst airline I have ever
encountered. They gave up our seats (on two different legs), lost our
luggage for two days (including half our dive gear), broke one piece of
luggage. I highly recommend Turneffe Island Lodge but try to get there on
another airline. The staff at the Lodge was very accommodating about our
problems with TACA. They allowed us free use of their rental equipment and
made constant inquiries with TACA until our situation was resolved. Thumbs
way up for the Turneffe Island Lodge staff.
