Laru Beya Resort restaurant, wasn't much. The hotel, which has very nice accommodation is right next door to Robert's Cove where food is excellent, and very near Turtle Inn with 5 star dining. Long boat rides from Placencia to Gladden Spit and wind was up. Very uncomfortable but unavoidable. Sea Horse up'd the $10 fee to enter Gladden Spit to $15. They charge 50% for cancelled dive days due to bad weather and since you pay in advance, you're stuck. This however, did NOT happen to us. Dive masters very capable, good sound boats, radios, GPS, O2, and good operators. Sea Horse is not the only operator in Placencia, but probably the best one, and in spite of their unfriendly customer service attitude, the whale sharks were amazing. Good trip worth the effort. |
