A maximum of 130 was recommended, however, one could dive one's own profile. Everyone was treated as a mature, responsible diver. |

I have nothing but the highest praise for this operation. The vessel is the best I have ever been on and the crew surpassed all expectations. There was no request that was not promptly and cheerfully attended to. Turnover on liveaboards being what it is, I only regret that those who follow me will not be able to enjoy the ministrations of Captain Lachlan MacKensie and his assitants Sonia Johal and Laura Shepherd. However, local divemaster Raúl Cruz will hopefully still be around. The dive sites were of the highest quality, tropical fish are plentiful and the corals are in magnificent shape. With the exception of the first area at the very begining of the trip, all the sites had a reef and an adjoining wall, therefore, there was something for those who preferred a shallow dive, as well as for those who sought the thrill and beauty of the walls. Diving was at a pace suited to personal preferences. Once the dive briefing concluded, you could dive whatever profile you selected and with whomever you chose, including solo diving. The vessel itself is spotless, the cabins spacious, clean and comfortable, and the the food varied and tasty. At the risk of repeating myself I can truthfully state that the Sun Dancer II is the standard against which liveaboard diving ought to be measured. |
