The staff of the entire resort including the dive staff are the best we
have ever encountered in all of our years of diving. Everyone without
exception was friendly & helpful. The food was spectacular and the
service was great. The barrier reef was is good condition but viz was a
little less than we had hoped, perhaps due to the fish spawning. All dives
were easy drift dives with light or no current and the boat showed up
promptly when we surfaced. A 30 minute boat ride takes you to the
beginning of the barrier reef which is sometimes a narrow ridge with a wall
on one side and sandy basins 40 or so feet away, other times it seem very
wide. We saw sting rays, eagle rays , and hawksbill turtles on almost every
dive. SiT was spend on a nearby island with cookies, juice, and
watermelon. The famous atolls are a bit further but we felt the barrier
reef was just fine. We did give the whale shark trip a go but to no avail,
we did see some large schools of jacks and two blacktips checked us out as
well. In addition to the diving are other echo tours but ,this place is a
bit isolated so if you are looking for city life, it may not be your cup of
tea.
