This was our third trip aboard the Belize Aggressor III and we had a great
time. I was recovering from a severe respiratory ailment suffered the week
prior so I limited myself to a maximum of 3 dives a day. The first dive set
the tone for the week, a close encounter with a large Eagle Ray which
passed up the wall so close to us we could have reached out and touched it.
The weather during most of the week was phenomenal, lacking the usual east
wind, resulting in flat calm seas. This was the first time Tricia and I
actually dove the Blue Hole and as I suspected the previous 2 times it is
just a cold, dark hole. Not a big deal IMO. We saw Lionfish on every dive.
It was also the first trip for my new Canon T2i and I am very happy with
the results. The crew as always was great. Food was good to great. My only
compliant would be that the chef still doesn't understand eggs over easy,
every time they were over hard, which I hate. We do plan to return in about
12 months. We love diving in Belize and the Belize Aggressor III. Thank you
Capt. Simon, Gerry, Jodi, Fermin, Tan, and Anna for a great week.
