The Caymans, Ivan, and You

If you have plans to visit the Cayman Island anytime soon, contact the resort to verify that it’s fully operational. Some won’t be open until well into November or much later. If you have paid for your airline ticket, consider alternatives, such as Divi Tiara.

To mention just a few problems, on Grand Cayman, Cobalt Coast’s pier, with boat still attached, was found 1,000’ inland from its original location, Cayman Diving Lodge will require nearly a complete rebuilding. On Little Cayman, Little Cayman Beach Resort sustained damage to 14 rooms as well as to the dive operation and photo shop. Southern Cross Club must rebuild four rooms.
