Readers haven’t been impressed with trips aboard the Nimrod III they took in June, 1999. Mary Temple (New York NY) wrote that though “diving was marvelous and staff friendly, the Nimrod has seen better days. It even sprang a leak on our last day. Fresh towels failed to appear. Food was ho-hum.” Kirk & Richelle Fleischer (Baltimore MD) suggest the Nimrod III be called the “‘Jenny Craig Dive Boat’ due to lack of food and poor quality food. My husband was starving; 3 college-age boys were also very hungry. No accommodations for special diets. Divemaster could not speak English so briefings left you to read the diagram drawn. Save your money and go with Mike Ball!” Readers might wish to follow their advice till we get more information.
