Comments I have dived with Truth Aquatics many times and I know their routines. Your arrival is the night before. The boat leaves at 4 am waking you up, but go back to sleep for a 7 am to 8 am arrival at a diving site. This trip went to the back side of San Miguel Island, the most western of the channel islands. Bunks are comfortable and the area below has good ventilation. The food is ample excellent and is included in the price. Most divers solo dive with a backup air supply. The diving is especially good in winter when visibility is best. I dive in a dry suit now, my friends say because I am getting older. Repetitive dives can be cold in wet suits. Although the operation is ecologically-minded in general, there are still too many divers that want to kill everything in sight. I enjoy gazing at small colorful sea life including invertebrates. Three to four dives complete a single day of diving. Multi-day trips are common for groups.
