Comments California diving is spectacular in many ways. This trip went to San Miguel Island where cold water from the north creates habitat for many, many invertibrates, including nudibranches, soft corals, spongy growths and beautiful kelp forests. I have dove on this boat many times. This one day trip left at 4am after boarding the night before, arrives the dive area around 8am and usually includes four (4) dives.
This trip visited the castle rock and wilson rock areas. Currents were unusually strong and absent ankle weights on my dry suit gave me a challenge in the current upside down. Enter the water from a bow gate and follow the anchor line to the bottom. Find structure to break the current flow! Divers are still hunting for fish and scallops, but photography is becoming more and more popular as time goes by. visit truthaquatics.com for more information and to plan a trip from their dive calendar.
