Comments In June 2013 my long time dive buddy (Steve Kammerer)and I made our yearly summer dive trek to the Florida Keys for five days of diving. This years destination was Key Largo. For Iowa divers Key Largo represents both affordable and enjoyable diving. Diving was through Sea Dwellers which is conveniently located across the street from the Holiday Inn. The dive operator was safety conscious and pleasant to be around. Diving was on patch reefs ranging from 30-40 ft. On any particular dive one might see Queen and French Angles, French Grunts, Sergeant Majors, Spotted Eagle Rays, Barracuda, and Cow Fish etc. Of particular interest are the bait balls composed of thousands of fish. As winter is setting in, thoughts are already turning to next years Florida diving adventure.
