This site is easy to locate within the city of Santa Rosa, NM. A dive permit is required and may be purchased at the visitor center on the main street of town for $8.00. C-cards are checked, but no matter your dive level you are allowed to dive the site. Though this is a nice site to dive in the southwest, there is not emergency action plan should something unfortunate happen to a diver. Understanding most divers are cautious, this is something to be aware. Recommend that you bring all of your own equipment. While there we had the opportunity to look at four tanks that were provided by the dive shop to some open water divers who were finishing as we were setting up. At least three of the four were out of VI and hydro. I highly recommend bringing your own tanks and equipment to ensure your personal safety and a good dive experience. There is no direct contact information to the dive shop via phone or internet. In order to contact the shop you must ask a local hotel or visitor center and they will place you int touch with someone from the Santa Rosa Dive Shop. |
