2 Dive sites 1 good for Advanced and Wreck (Spiegel Grove), 1 for beginners (Shallow Wreck). The dive plan for Spiegel was 100'+. Our dive group of 3 had to search for tanks with greater than 2800PSI. One of us could not get one, so our time was limited by the fills. Had a minor equipment problem at ~80Ft due to Dive Ops changing of my equipment (trying to find better fill) but was fixed. The Good - Spiegel is an awesome wreck to dive and Joey from the crew tried hard to accommodate everyone and was helpful. The Bad - Strong Current to get to and dive the Spiegel (was expected), no bathroom facilities at the marina for before and after diving (was sent to the shell station or hotel bathrooms which were locked and the operations key did not work), No restroom facilities on the boat were available for divers use and no time on tag lines to do anything except pull yourself in. Largest complaint was the surface interval and attitude of the operations for second dive. After diving 100+ feet and a 5 minute boat ride, we were told, "no surface interval is needed for this dive, the boat will leave in 1Hr, but you can go in when ever you want". We plan to return to dive the Spiegel again but I will not dive and would not recommend Rainbow Reef Divers to others. |
