Comments Comfortable dive boat, lots of room. They also do overnight trips, have bunks in staterooms but don't expect "mint on the pillow" accommodations. Galley had chow available between each dive. Each diver had his/her own personal mug for the trip. On deck showers and heads nearby, camera buckets, ample dive benches and storage area, bait well for fish from spearfishing. No nitrox aboard but plenty to do and see above 60 feet. Dive crew very helpful for those of us encumbered by thick dive suits and heavy weights. Gave dive briefing at each site but you are on your own once below. They get back in time to return rental gear that day. I'd be happy to dive with them again.

UW Photo Comments Diving in kelp bed. Some interesting small stuff on "Gibraltar" reef--morays, cleaner shrimp, small lobsters; fluorescent tube anemones on sand, Catalina gobies. If you're looking for more spectacular reef fauna or big fish, go elsewhere (Ship Rock, Farnsworth Bank, etc.) Sea lion and harbor seal checked us out. Good place to try out available light in kelp bed, very calm. Some silt in water--watch out for placement of strobe.
