Comments First trip with the Explorer Fleet on an old well run boat. Got lucky with only 6 divers, so got our own rooms and accommodating crew. Very poor visibility in SABA with currents, caused us to try all 10 sites on SABA to find better conditions. Captain Ian worked hard with lead dive master Brett to make the circumstances better. St Kitts diving just mediocre Caribbean diving despite better visibility and less current.

Wow,looks like you hit a bad week. I've done the trip 5 times (Jan 2009, Jan 2010, Jan 2013 and Aug 2014), and got to most of the Saba sites on each trip. Last trip (Aug 2014), did Monkey Shoals at south end of St. Kitts (shallow, but lots of small stuff, sponges, etc.) and some newer sites (sharks and lobsters) not reachable from day boats. Wreck sites (River Taw)& Corinthian are usually dependable for critters, schooling fish, and loners who've taken up residence (eels, turtles, puffers, etc.)
