Comments Rincon and PR are not what I consider dive destinations. We visited with family primarily for surfing. For a break we decided to try out Taino Divers.I contacted them several weeks ahead to dive Desecho Island which is about a 60 minute boat ride and in the Marine conservation area. We own our gear but decided to rent as we would be diving just one day. It took several visits to the dive shop to get a a firm day to go.The seas can get rough and I suspect they wanted a full boat. The rental equipment was brand new You help load the boat from the shore as the pier has been long gone. However once on the boat the service was as good as anywhere I have been. The boat briefing was professional.Diving at the island is so so. Would I go again? Not as a dive destination.

Unrelated to the dive shop are Sunset Paradise Villas. They are a great place to stay.
