Angel (owner) & Matt (dive master) provided excellent support. Dive boat is spacious, clean, well organized, well maintained. Excellent pre-dive briefings, assistance in gear preparation and water entry. Dive master very observant, helpful but gave appropriate dive profile freedom for experienced divers. Dive profiles were excellent multi-level, each featuring a period at about 50 feet that's great for DCS prevention. Fish life, while not prolific in Puerto Rico, was varied and approachable. Corals were in excellent condition with abundant black coral and crisp white brain corals. Fans were in near-perfect condition. Spotted a small octopus, and a school of Atlantic Spades swam right through our group. Between dives and afterward, crew was very warm and friendly, giving lots of background on Puerto Rico, recent weather conditions, typical diving conditions at various times of year, and even helped us to the car with the wet & heavy gear! No payment due until after the dive, which I find admirable and common for well-run and confident dive operations. I only wish we'd lodged closer to Parguera; we had a neary 3-hour drive from San Juan. Had we known what an excellent operation Angel runs, and how pristine the diving is, we would have stayed over and dived again. Each member of our group of 4 divers was very happy with this experience. Parguera Divers also has an excellent website. Highly recommended, without hesitation. Will return, but will stay much longer. |
