Comments Copa Marina Resort is in located in Guanica two hours drive south of San Juan. Excellent service and food, very friendly staff, beautiful grounds. We stayed in a Villa which was clean and spacious (although a bit short on kitchen utensils). Resort is surrounded by the largest remaining tract of tropical dry coastal forest in the world- with an extensive network of hiking trails through the surrounding hills, arroyo and coastline. Dive operation is on site, boat is well maintained (no head). Dive Master Jovo was a pleasure to dive with and he always gave a concise, safety conscious dive briefing. (Jovo also conducted intro. to scuba class for our 11 year old daughter- she was thrilled and comfortable throughout.) The twenty minute boat trips to Wall dive sites were a bit rough but certainly bearable. Reef was in excellent shape everywhere we dove, lots of fish, lobster, crabs and a couple of juvenile turtles. Two highlight dives were being surrounded by a pod of 13 very curious dolphins that seemed as excited to see us as we were to see them and brief glimpse of an adult Manatee. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!
