Comments The lodging at Baja bunglows was excellent. We had a casita, two rooms and an bath. There was an outside shared kitchen. Also on the property was a two level main house and two other casitas. Owners were great folks. Highly recommend.
Cabo Pulmo is NOT Cabo San Lucas and Diving in Cabo Pulmo is not for the "Caribbean Resort Diver" - don't even bother to come here. However, if you appreciate beautiful desolate beaches, rustic lodging, close nit communities and don't mind helping push the panga into the water. You will appreciate Cabo Pulmo.
The sea life here is prolific. The abundant coral growth on the rocky reefs provides shelter and food for countless colorful reef fishes, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. I dived Cabo Pulmo four times in the last 20 years and notice a significant increase in fish population. This area is a National Marine Park, promoted by local diver Pepe Murrieta. It is the only coral reef in the northern eastern pacific.
I dived with Cabo Pulmo Divers, They were OK, I dove with them years before, when they were the only dive operators there. I have heard good reviews about the other dives shops.
