First, this was the BEST food I've ever had on a liveaboard boat. The food
was better than the cruise ship I just got off of! Doug prepared perfectly
cooked ribeye steaks, filets, fresh fish, berries, etc., etc. I didn't gain
a pound, as Doug kept the sauces ungreasy, etc. There was always food left
over despite some very heavy eaters. A highlight of any Kona Aggressor
trip is the Manta night dive--sometimes two. We also saw mantas during the
day. I don't know why they don't advertise this more--it's still quite a
thrill after my 3 Kona Aggressor Trips. Plenty of other critters--long
armed octopi, frog fish, leaf fish, a whale shark sighting(not by me), etc.
A big bonus was Humpback whale season, usually mid-December to mid-Marc.
We saw LOTS of whales--all from the boat. You could hear them sing on many
dives. We also had a close encounter with a pod of pilot whales, again
while on boat. I saw one of the largest turtles I've ever seen on one
dive. Extremely friendly crew.
