Comments	I had been diving with Kohala Divers in the past and gave them a very good review (2008) so I had no hesitation to make arrangements to do more of the same in May of 2009. I emailed the shop and made a dive reservation for a monday and wednesday with the rest of our two week stay open for another 4-5 dive days for myself and my wife.The reply is next from Rebekah(owner) Aloha Michael We would love to have you join us for some dive days! I have penciled you in for the 11th and the 13th just give us a call at your convenience. To secure the reservation we need a contact phone # while you are on island, if you will be using our equipment (B.C. reg etc) we will need sizes, and a credit card # to hold the spots. We keep a 24 hour cancellation policy if anything comes up. Thanks!! Rebekah Kohala Divers So I assumed that Monday and Wed were assured as I called with a credit card # to "secure" my reservation. We dove on monday which had time limitations on the dive of 50 minutes. Then on Tuesday @ 2pm I received a call from Rebekha that our dives on Wed were probably not going to happen as we were the only divers on the boat BUT if we wanted to "secure" our dive(again) we could PAY for a third spot! Now nowhere or at anytime was there a mention of having to have three divers for the boat to go out. We stopped by the shop and inquired as to the rest of the days that we were interested in diving and as it turned out we were the only divers scheduled on those days also.The person at the dive shop told me that there was a possibility of other divers and she would call me by 5pm to let me know the status of the Wed dives. Well she did call and relayed that the boat would not go out with just two divers. I voiced my displeasure(nicely) and my disappointment at having at least two "secured" days of diving and that we would not risk this happening to our other dive days. Rebekha called me within minutes of that conversation and was adamant about the boat not being able to go out with two of us without the third spot being paid for and all the while she kept asking are we alright with you?. I again voiced my displeasure at being a return customer and having at least two secured dive days then being cancelled without even a 24 hr notice. I would have thought that they would have honored the Wed. dives and explained their policy for the rest of our vacation. So in the end we did not go out with Kohala Divers on Wed. They also lost 6 days of diving from us over the duration of our vacation.(read review for Mauna Lani Divers) You cannot travel 5 thousand miles and not be assured of diving on a dive vacation. What was once a dive operation dedicated to customer service has now fallen into what is best for them..Too bad
