Comments	Caribbean Divers: Boca Chica Caribbean Divers is located on the water in Boca Chica which is a short drive from Santo Domingo’s Los Americas airport. They serve both locals and a larger contingent of Europeans staying in the local hotels and resorts. Rental equipment is brand new Scuba Pro gear. The dive sites are a quick 5- 15 minute ride beyond the reef. Site topography is varied and includes a sunken tug. Corals are struggling but still beautiful.. Many of the typical small reef fish are there along with an occasional stingray, turtle, and reef shark. Lion fish are seen but there is an active program ongoing to irradiate them. Dives are between 14m – 30 m (40ft – 100ft). Caribbean divers also will take experienced divers into the cave network nearby. There is a series of Cenotes that are connected underground. The cave diving is truly amazing and relatively easy in terms of accessibility. The dive masters are very experienced. You are trained in proper hook up protocol, signals, spacing, with very detailed briefings on what to expect. This was an amazing experience. Water in the cave as a warm 26c/78F and the visibility is unlimited. Incredible stalagmite and stalactite formations were everywhere. Highly recommended!!
