I went alone to dive- got placed in a group of about 12 divers from a Georgiadive club. Diving was good, with several small critters: seahorses, mantis shrimp, jawfish, pikeblennies. I was surprised that no frogfish were found- divemasters indicated they were all over before the last Caribbean water warming event, afterwhich the frogfish were very difficult to spot. The hotel was OK, yet not great, although it offered good value. Meals were OK. The island is lush, full of vegetation, lakes, sulfur springs and hiking opportunities, a true "Pirates of the Caribbean" gem. Took the whale watching thip and saw a sperm whale, several false killer whales and a pod of dolphins. |
