Comments Buddy Dive has taken over the dive operation at the Fort Young Hotel and does a very good job. They have built on their good reputation from Bonaire and their dive operation is pretty much identical. They operate two roomy dive boats with adequate shade and marine heads. Although the dives are structured for the sake of inexperienced divers, the dive guides quickly realize which divers are experienced and afford them some latitude. Photographers can pretty much do their own thing but they prefer that they loosely stay with the group. The guides are OK at finding interesting animals which I am thankful for because I am challenged in this area.

The Fort Young Hotel was an unexpected pleasure. It is built on top of a fort that has a history dating back to the 17th century and changed hands between the British and the French in the 18th century. The hotel has been rebuilt and added onto several times and is a somewhat of a warren of passageways. However it is interesting to see the old construction techniques blended with the new. Worth doing is a tour of the hotel run by the historical society.

UW Photo Comments Charging stations are in your hotel room and current is 220V so bring a plug adaptor and make sure all of your chargers are compatible with 220V current. There is a large desk in the room so it is a nice set up for a photographer.
