Good dive operation. Briefings are at 9am and 4pm and last approx. 30 minutes. Once you have the briefing, you can grab a tank and go. Diving the house reef couldnt be easier. A rope runs out and down the wall for you to follow. During our visit, only one boat was running in the AM and was a bit crowded. You had the option of following the divemaster or dive on your own. Afternoon boats only ran if 6 people were signed up, however one day they cancelled it all together. The rooms at Habitat are very basic and fairly clean. We dont think the filters in the AC have been changed. Several people were complaining about sore throats during the course of the week. Oceans resturant is good but does get tiring after a while. Its not as bad as some reviews have indicated. We opted to stock our room with breakfast and lunch items and had dinner at the resturant. Habitat offers on site car rentals. We were able to rent the car early in the week for 2 days and the last day we were there. If you tend to get bored easily, like to explore or need a variety of food, then I highly recommend renting a car. They have small Hyundais with manual transmissions and steering. Made it fun to paralell park in Willemstad. Definitely worth going into town a couple of times. |
