[None]Easy to book and quick to respond via internet. Friendly, but
professional check-in and did examine our C-cards. Memo makes any of your
concerns disappear. Nearly all the diving is in six diver boats with twin
outboard engines and oxygen is on the boats. The boarding can be at a
downtown dock or they will pick you up at your resort. Departure is a bit
early, 0730, but we were usually first on the sites. Surface intervals are
about 1.5 hours at a beach resort where one can make up for a missed
breakfast or relax and enjoy the sun and sand. Steel tanks make the bottom
times extra long and smaller tanks are available for those preferring them.
Our divemaster throughout the day dives, Liang, was always helpful,
knowledgeable, and low key. She seemed like a friend we were diving with
because she knew more about the area than we. Javier did a terrific job
for the night dive with our novice group member who had no experience at
night. One of the best night dives I can recall. Nitrox is available for
$10/day. Overall, a really pleasant, relaxing experience that was way
beyond my expectations.
We stayed at Casa Mexicana, right downtown on the main drag, but not
too noisy. The breakfast started at 0700, which made for a bit of a rush.
The rooms are comfortable, not fancy, and the cooler worked well. The hair
dryer didn't work.
Overall, The marine life and the reefs I saw were a lot more
impressive than my trip to Little Cayman a year ago and the cost is much
less from where I live. Strongly recommended!
