This was my 2nd trip with Aldora. 1st was in 2003. You can see that there was damage to the reefs from Wilma & the vis was not as clear. However it was still great diving. Aldora is the best operation I have yet to encounter. Mateo the DM was fantastic. We went with 2 friends who are beginers. After the 1st day Mateo saw that they needed extra help so he brought along a DM in training to give thoes 2 one on one help. There was only the 4 of us on the boat with the e DM's. At no time during the 2 weeks diving with them did the boat have more than 6 customers. Tanks were 120 steel filled to a minimum of 3500PSI. All dives were atleast 65 minutes and some as long as 90. The villa's are managed by Greg & Kay whom were extremly helpful. They met us at the airport and helped us get organized, gave us lifts into town which was only about a 3 minute ride. You could walk it in about 20 minutes. On calm days the boat would pick you up at the villas and on rough days they would hire a cab to take you to the main pier. The overall experience was 1st class all the way. You cannot go wrong with Aldora. |
