Comments Belated repeat visit after 9 years. Just as good as it was in 2006. Although Gladys was not on island, Gay had the resort running like a clock. Airport pickup, intro, etc. went just fine. Most guests were repeats, some up to 11 times, only 2 couples were visiting for the first time. One guy coming in as we were leaving said he had been to PPR 30 times. Couldn't have been a better mix of visitors from all over the US. Meals and diving were noted by the gong on the old scuba tank and most things were on time. Breakfast at 8:00, on the van by 9:00 and back for lunch around 1:30. Near hour long dives mostly. Jackson and Bloody Bay dives were wonderful wall and sand flats dives with viz at 100+, very little current and lots of small stuff and the large groupers who sometimes needed a push out of the way. Small critters included slender file fish, jaw fish and a seahorse. Juvenile spotted drum were on most dives. I've never seen another place with sea life so unafraid of divers. A nurse shark was found sleeping on 3 dives. Turtles were present during most dives, on the surface during the SI and on the way in to the dock. Can't say enough about Pirates Point. Simply a great place for us and others. By the time we left on Saturday, half of the rooms were booked again for next year for the same week. Hard to think of a better recommendation than that.
