The south east corner has taken a beating from the hurricanes. The north side is much healthier. Hope the wind is down so you can dive the north shore. There is quite a bit of algae on shallower dive sites. I hope the corals and sponges recover. I don't think you can find a better run dive operation anywhere. Mo and Steve run a fantastic operation. Even though many of their dive guides are pretty new, they know the company rules and give excellent service and briefings every time. We stayed at Compass Point, the condos associated with Ocean Frontiers. They are very nice and super-convenient. Grand Cayman grocery stores are closed on Sunday. You'll want to stop at Fosters or Hurleys before heading to the East End, though there is a Foster's Express across from Reef Resort. |
