Comments Diving the Caymans this time of year (over New Years) is always a hit-or-miss proposition. The best diving is on Little Cayman and whether you make it over there is dependent on the weather. We lucked out and made it over there for two days of diving. The boat had not been over there for the previous five weeks. The condition of the corals and fish life is substantially better on Little Cayman compared to Grand Cayman. If you're stuck diving the west side of Grand Cayman all week, then the experienced diver might be disappointed. The novice diver will still be impressed with the diving on any of the three islands.
Having been on about ten liveaboards, I must say that this crew (Capt. Lauren, Jonathan, Mark, Alan, Heather and Chef Kingsley) was as good as I've seen anywhere. They were enthusiastic, accommodating and always cheerful. They claim to have the best chef in the Aggressor fleet and I would agree!
I would definitely go back on this trip again, though I would try to make it during the spring or early summer when the weather is a bit calmer.
