An excellent choice for my first ocean diving since late 2019. Service and accommodations are first-rate, and the diving is stress-free. They provided efficient airport transfers and after-cruise COVID tests. AquaCat serves a maximum of 24 divers (IIRC), but we had just 16 divers and 2 snorkelers. So the already spacious dive deck was especially roomy. Weather was very good, and seas were like glass most days. There was one slightly klutzy diver with just 50 dives, but the others had logged hundreds or even thousands.
Each dive had one guide and usually one staff photographer. We could follow the guide on a 45-minute loop out and back to the mooring, after which we were on our own. Alternatively, buddy pairs could just go off on their own for the whole dive.
Coral was somewhat beaten up, and there were surprisingly few really big fish despite being in or near the marine sanctuary.
I paid a single supplement for solo use of their smallest cabin (#11). This cabin has lots of space for one person, but both the upper and lower bunks are a bit awkward to enter and exit. A person who is large in some dimension or has limited flexibility might want to avoid it.
The Washing Machine dive is special-- lots of fun, and not available at most places in the world.
Their shark feed is unusually well designed and run. The Austin Smith wreck provides a setting that is very photogenic.
The snorkelers met a pod of dolphins once.
