Comments Komodo is one of my favorite dive sites in the world. This is the third liveaboard to the site and everything still sparks joy. The Indo Aggressor looks old, but the quarters are comfortable. I especially appreciate the upper deck cabin (our room) with access to a large sitting deck, and that dining usually takes place in the open main deck. This boat would adapt very well to pandemic protocols of social distancing and ventilation. Not a fan of night diving, we ended up doing more night dives than usual because the DMs are good at spotting weird creatures, and the sites chosen, with shallow sloping white sand, certainly made night diving more appealing. Turtle city was a memorable site with over twenty turtles resting in an area looking like airplanes parked in a field!

The only issue (hence the 4 star service and attitude)is that our room was infested with bed bugs and I am allergic to bites. I seriously doubt that the crew did not know about it. The only solution is to fumigate the room if not the entire indoor cabin areas. That is not possible as we already set sail. Since I got the bites and reactions after the 1st night, and there was no spare room to move to (heard from occupants in 3 other rooms with the problem anyway) on this trip, I suffered 6 sleepless, endlessly itchy agonizing nights. I asked to get off the boat, but that was not an option either as we were far from land. Fortunately, diving itself offered the only relief, and I still give the boat 4 stars because I did not miss my dives.
