1998 Chapbook
  Bermuda

Pricey, elegant hotels with British manners; sparse fish life and thin reefs; simply not a dive destination, even for beginners. . . . January to March, average high 68 degrees, low 58, chilly waters; summers balmy; hurricane zone; same latitude as Charleston, South Carolina. . . .

Fantasea/Surfside, June 1997, Victor A. Bary, Cranford, NJ. "I dive in Bermuda while on vacation, rather than vacation in Bermuda to dive. As much above surface as below. Wreck dives are shallow, but offer 300 years of history and long bottom times. vis: 50100 ft. water: 7678 degrees. Restriction enforced for diving was time. Fantasea is a well run operation with competent and friendly staff. Equipment new and well maintained. For a well rounded vacation, rather than dive, dive, dive, eat, dive, dive, sleep vacation consider Bermuda."

Fantasea, September 1997, Jay Lasner, Coral Springs, FL. "Did 2 tank am dive w/Fantasea. Young crew. Enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. First dive: Shallow reefs (25 ft.) Second dive: 2 wrecks, Constellation & Cristobal Colon. Both broken up. Some glass shards and ceramics. Visibility 30-40 ft. water 78-79 degrees. Easy beginner dive, a bit of a current."
