I wish I had known beforehand that crew was willing to wait for us on the first day so we wouldn't have had to arrive the day before to make the 'required' noon departure from Tortola."

Cuan Law, February 1996, David Fanfarillo, Locust Grove, VA. "Huge, spacious, beautifully appointed. State rooms more than anyone could hope for. Good food. Ultimate comfort-party boat with a little diving thrown in. Wide dive deck, but bottle-necked as each diver had to don his tank at the only tank station, then climb down the ladders to the dinghies or an 8 ft. giant stride; rarely anyone to assist. Dive times 40 minutes so high air users would not have to wait in the dinghies for those who were air conservative. We pushed the time limits on most dives without consequence. . . . For 20 divers there was one 20 gallon rinse tank for day. Pretty bad after twenty wet suits, darn right disgusting after sixty. . . . We needed to know before booking: Cuan Law not a dedicated dive live-aboard and three dives (max) not enough. Had to kneel in the sand at 15 ft. and perform mask clearing, regulator recovery, and octopus sharing on the first dive. I thought that was part of certification. vis: 50­100 ft. water: 78°­80°."

Janis Smith is an excellent divemaster and a great teacher in identifying fish. Mike got us fresh fish. I caught a large lobster. We dove the beautiful wreck of the Rhone, The Invisible, the Indians, Coral Garden, liked the baths, snorkeled and kayaked the caves. Excellent accommodations and delicious food. vis: 50 to 100 ft. water: 70°­80°."
