Antares III, June 1996, Carol A. Robinson, River Falls, WI. "Diving at the pinnacle (can also be dived with shore operation) is world-class. Could dive it daily for a month and not get bored. Divemaster Ron is great and son of boat owner is an excellent chase boat diver. High seas some days and he handled boat and divers safely and carefully. A family run operation with two young children on board. Food good, but meals repeated during the week. Main floor cabins great (but no a/c). Downstairs cabins had lots of storage, but smell from toilets and poor climate control were complaints mode. . . . Added excursion into the interior: Arukuna (2 days) & Canaima (1 day). Great adventure, safe and fun. Spend more time at Canaima and take the day trek to Angel Falls (need to book 3 days minimum for this). If not take private plane to devil's canyon to see Falls when it is not clouded over. Do not count on seeing it from regular flights. Climb and walk behind the waterfall at Canaima is awesome. Stayed at Jungle Rudy's. Definitely not 5*, but clean, good food and atmosphere. Take Jungle rated bug spray/cream and use all the time. Malaria not a reported problem."
