Man Friday Diving/Man O' War Cottages, August 1995, Bill Richman, Romney, WV. "90 min rental car ride from airport to Charlottesville is an adventure. A throw-back to the 1950s. Credit cards seldom accepted except at the dive shop and cottages. Diving excellent! On one dive saw a large moray, school of sennets, 18" pufferfish, 2 eagle rays and an 8' hammerhead. Better than Roatan or Bonaire. Fish are bigger, more numerous and less afraid of divers. Cloudy, nutrient filled water, small open 26' dive boat, ladder broken, staff OK but not overly friendly. Safety conscious, but don't baby sit you. Everyone carries tanks to the boat. Cottages are OK but not modern. Finding food to cook or buy prepared is a challenge."

Blue Waters Inn, May 1996, Bill & Ruth Maki, Fargo, ND. "Went to see mantas at the time of year when they're supposedly there. Saw none; divemasters said they hadn t seen any in a long time. Diving rough; lots of current, surge, very rough boat rides, and tough entries. Reefs are nice. Blue Waters Inn is excellent. Tobago is interesting. vis: 5070 ft. water: 75°78°."
