Horizon, May, 1994. "The Horizon easily handles two dozen divers to San Clemente Island, out of San Diego. Accommodations are spartan, but clean. Crew is helpful, but stays out of the way. Camera space is limited, but acceptable since the galley is damp. Island features healthy kelp and soft coral with varied topography of rock reefs. Typical sightings included mola mola, sea lions, yellow tail, bat rays, etc." C.L., San Diego, CA

My Desire, San Diego Shark Diving Expeditions, August, 1995. "My Desire is 50 feet, not plush but comfortable with two heads, two showers, TV, VCR, Stereo, plenty of CD's, microwave. Takes six divers on scheduled one, three and four day shark diving trips. I did a four-day trip and loved it good weather, visibility 3060 feet, water temperature 66 degrees. Dove for sharks two days and made several dives in kelp. (Made seven kelp dives at Monterey, CA year before and enjoyed the kelp diving at San Clemente and Santa Catalina much more.) Sharks are chummed to boat then shark cage lowered into water. First day saw four blue sharks. Second day saw about 30 blue sharks, two mako sharks, mola mola and two sea lions. Cage is at 15 feet so plenty of light for photos. Dive guide wears chain mail suit and lets smaller sharks clamp on him. Other dives, Stay above 140 feet and dive with buddy. Cost is $250 per day." Barry Stephan, Grand Rapids, MI

Sand Dollar, March, 1995. "A quick 3-day trip. Water was cool but that was expected staff friendly and helpful. Sea lions on 1st day were playful. Good dive trip - will try to go again in 6-8 months." Terry Bettridge, Sandy UT
