Ocean Explorers, November, 1994. "My time and money spent was well worth it. Ocean Explorers offers a complete videotape of two dives for $75. I hired them to videotape my underwater proposal to my new fiancee. I was expecting amateur and got professional. My fiancee is not as experienced as I, and is, like most novice divers, a bit anxious. Dominique and LeRoy were both patient and helpful with her. We enjoyed every minute of our dive from start to finish. Trade Winds Dive Center, April, 1995. "My wife and I took a cruise of the eastern Caribbean. We are experienced divers so we tried to research and prearrange dives on our own to avoid the cruise ship dive excursion crowd. Despite our efforts, we were disappointed with this operation. There must be better diving in St. Maarten than what we saw. And, to add insult to injury, cruisers from our ship who had signed up for the dive excursion were on our second dive. . . . The boat left on time. Rental gear was set up and on board waiting for divers. . . . Bad stuff: both sites were maximum of 30 feet with viz roughly the same (30 feet.) There was little coral and what little we saw was damaged. No moorings so the boats anchor at dive sites. Divemasters assumed all divers were novices, which was not the case. Tank fills were light although for a dive of 55 minutes at 30 feet in hardly mattered. For a five minute boat ride and two 30-foot dives, we thought $75 per person was expensive.
