Anse Chastanet, January, 1995. "Friendly dive operation. Not preoccupied with people allowed to come on boat with 200 psi without any problem. I'm a large air user. 80 degree water, 5075 visibility, 85 foot maximum depth." H.R. Soletsky, Brookfield, CT

Anse Chastanet, January, 1995. "The M.D. with whom I dived and I both got severe upper respiratory infections with incubation periods of 24 and 36 hours. I dived twice and got sick first. The other 14 doctors, nurses and dependents snorkeled only. None of them got sick. I was on erythromycin for 10 days." George Karr, Rolla, MD

Club Med, January, 1995. "Superior for beginners. Excellent instructors, patient and abundant. My children, aged 14, 17, and 22, did their first open water dives. Reef sites 45 minutes to an hour boat ride from dock. Dock 10 minutes from Club. Two easy boat dives a day; generic dives, not challenging for advanced divers but night dive once a week superior; best night dive I have done. Refreshments provided between dives. All dives drift diving with excellent visibility, equipment (ScubaPro) provided but wetsuit top cost extra." Mickey Drachler, M.D., Highland Park, IL

Dolphin Divers, Windjammer, June, 1994. "Good: varieties of corals, sponges; excellent macro photography; schools of barracuda and reef squid. Rainbow Reef fantastic. . . . Bad: this was supposed to be a dive resort - dive shop on premises. Not true. We took long rides overland to Dolphin Divers (Marigot Cove) and bunch of us crowded into tiny skiffs (no water, no protection from blazing sun). Some divemasters disorganized, but mellow; others disorganized and arrogant. Nice dives made up for poor operation. . . . Wish I'd know that due to road closure can't get from Windjammer to Anse Chastenet except by driving around entire island (limits ability to try out their dive operation). Went on recommendation of Rascals tour agency for dive operation that was kid-friendly (childcare, etc.). Windjammer resort was neither, and was expensive. For nondiving couples, Windjammer would be great." Vincent Reed, Novato, CA
